SCHOOL BEHAVIOR Classroom rules are expected to be followed for the safety of all students. Please review these rules with your child before the first day of school.
Children are expected to work hard.
Children are expected to be kind to one another and their teachers by behaving in a respectful manner.
Children are expected to be truthful, encouraging, and helpful.
Children are expected to display self-control.
Children are expected to display order.
If your child has an issue with any of the classroom rules, the student will be spoken to, away from others, about appropriate behavior and assisted in developing a strategy for improvement. Appropriate consequences will be given based on the nature of the incident. Consequence will be discussed with the student as student discusses strategies for improvement. Parents will be notified of their child’s behavior via the “take-home” folder with the Personal Development/SocialDevelopment/Academic Development form or an email. Parents must sign and return the form the next day before the child can return to school. Signed forms should be returned in the “take-home” folder. During the first few weeks of school, we discuss rules and policies at length. Refer The Children’s House handbook for policies regarding suspension and dismissal from the program based on behavior.
